The Madison County Master Gardeners and the Soil and Water Conservation District are hosting a special tour in the Darby Creek Watershed to show how the farming community, local residents and government agencies are coming together to conserve these nationally treasured waterways and the diverse plants and animals they support. This day trip is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., leaving from Der Dutchmen in Plain City, and includes lunch and tour stops at OSU’s Gywnne Conservation Center, a historic cemetery prairie in bloom, a private garden in conservation community and the Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park’s state-of-the-art nature center!
