Beginning June 1, 2021, the OSU Extension Office will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30pm (closed 12:30 to 1 pm for lunch).   4. Extension Office Open on Wednesdays and Thursdays By Appointment

    Effective Monday, January 18, 2021, the Miami County Extension Office will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30 am to 4 pm by appointment only. Also, the staff will continue to telework and are available through email. Our staff is committed to continuing to serve our clientele and communities through teleworking and virtual programming.  For questions, please email the appropriate staff member listed below.

  5. OSU Extension Office closed on Veteran's Day!

    Please note: the Hobart Center for County Government and Ohio State University Extension, Miami County office will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in observance of Veteran's Day. We will re-open on Thursday, November 12th at 8:30 am to 4 pm. Thank you for your service.

  6. Blast-off to Mars with Ohio 4-H and Join the 4-H STEM Challenge

    We’re launching a trip to Mars Base Camp and want to help you get there! The 2020 4-H STEM Challenge explores sending a mission to Mars and what it takes to sustain life in space. The Mars Base Camp kit includes activities that use STEM skills like mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, and agriculture.

  7. USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)

    The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.

    The Ohio State University Extension Office is on the move! As of April 7, 2020, we left our beloved old home in the Old Courthouse (since approx. 1975) and moved to our new location on the Second Floor in the Hobart Center for County Government, 510 W. Water Street.

  9. Agriculture and Natural Resources: Meeting the Challenge

    Did your usual workshop get canceled?  Looking to fill the void of the big basketball tournament?  Ohio State University Extension is here to help with a new virtual education program for the agricultural community.  “Agriculture and Natural Resources Madness: A Tournament of Education” will include 64 educational events broken into daily brackets.  Each day, a virtual educational session will be held at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m.
