Master Gardener FREE Help available for residents in Miami County!

Volunteers trained in researching scientifically based sources are available on Mondays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. by calling 440-3945. The Clinic fields questions from the northern Miami Valley area and is staffed by Master Gardener volunteers from Miami County.

Whether you have just moved to the area or are a long-time resident, you might wonder how to grow bigger, more beautiful flowers and vegetables. Call the Clinic. No question is too small or incidental. The Master Gardeners will try to give answers over the phone, direct you to valuable sources or send you printed material. The service is free.

Sponsored by the Ohio State University Cooperative Extension System, the Master Gardener Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic invites walk-ins, too. The Clinic office is located at 510 W Water Street, Ste 250 on the second floor in Troy, Ohio. Bring in a fresh sample of your mystery plant, bug, fungus or flower. If the volunteers can’t give you an immediate answer, they will research your issue and get back with you later.

The Miami County Master Gardener Program is an educational outreach program provided and administered by the Ohio State University Cooperative Extension System. The more than sixty active members are engaged in programs ranging from the Miami County in Bloom Garden Tour, Miami County Fair, community landscaping projects, and educational opportunities for gardeners of all ages.

If you are seeking an answer outside of the Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic timeframe, please conact the office at 440-3945 or email bennett.709@osu.edu.
